Cooks at this hotel are responsible for performing food preparation and production tasks efficiently and accurately while following safe food handling policies, procedures, and recipes. Duties of this position include ensuring portion control, temperature, and appearance of food items per standard. The ideal candidate will have prior cooking experience preferably in a hotel or resort setting with an emphasis on high quantity cooking.
Cooking Experience (at least 6 months).
Ability to follow recipes.
Ability to work days/weekends/holidays.
Following assigned housekeeping and safety practices in all preparations and serving of meals.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Ability to exercise good judgment and tact.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Ability to stand, walk, and bend throughout the entire work day.
Ability to lift, stack and maneuver objects that weigh up to 50 pounds.
