Local Company in Virginia Beach is seeking an experienced Office Manager, a mid- senior level managerial position.
Most qualified incumbent has experience daily activities of a small office including bookkeeping (QuickBooks) answering phones, coordinating schedules, and setting client appointments.
We are looking to hire an individual who is empathetic, passionate about the job, team player with upbeat personality, business minded, organized, unflappable and authoritative with an impeccable personal brand.
5+ years of relevant experience with bookkeeping and office management
Associates or Bachelor s degree in Accounting or Finance ideal.
Possesses a strong basic understanding of home systems.
Communicates effectively with a positive and professional phone personality and good customer service skills.
Proficient in the use of office and web based applications such as Excel, Word, Google docs and calendar systems.
QuickBooks with strong bookkeeping skills.
Good critical thinking, analytical, focused to maintain detailed, accurate records and exceptional problem-solving skills
Organized enough to prioritize, and accomplish a variety of tasks or demands without missing a beat.
Can manage projects and complete tasks by meeting timelines and goals
Ability to work well independently and collaborate effectively with a team
Multi-tasker who is flexible and patient
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
9AM-6PM with 1 hour lunch
Basic office functions
Coordinate scheduling for approximately 6 team members
Communication liaison between team members and clients.
Manage basic bookkeeping, accounts receivables and payables.
Monitor and report team members continuing education and certification requirements.
Review completed, uploaded inspection reports.
Client post inspection / satisfaction follow-up phone calls.
Employee time entry and payroll submissions to payroll service.
Maintain office supplies /inventories and re-order as needed.
Monitor and interact with social media business sites such as Google, Yelp, Angie s List and Facebook.
Light work on Saturdays checking emails and phone messages.
Quiet office in professional office complex.
Little or no customer traffic.
Hours can be flexible but a 40 hour work week. (ex. 9-6 with 1 hr. Lunch)
Some work can be done from home with remote connection as needed.
