Essential Functions Statement(s)
Provide technical expertise, with the intent of establishing FMEA and related solutions
Perform periodic reviews of equipment failures to identify potential areas of focus
Working with operations and maintenance supervisors, planners and equipment owners and demonstrate practical application of the following reliability improvement tools:
Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM)
Preventive Maintenance Optimization (PMO)
Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA)
Total Productive Maintenance (TPM)
Operational Excellence concepts
Predictive technologies including: vibration, thermography, lubrication analysis, and others
Responsible for execution of leading a cross-functional team which assists in the development and response to and implementation of systems opportunities
Responsible for reviewing initiatives of the department in pursuit of growth objectives
Represent the needs of end users to the business, evaluate market trends and competition
Analyze and recommend product mix and required capabilities
Reviews and implements organizational plans that support the Company s Strategic Plan
Establishes objectives and procedures governing the performance of assigned activities
Issues specific annual objectives to immediate subordinates and reviews objectives
Review system designs to meet customer needs for general custom applications
Review programmable logic controller (PLC) and operator interface terminal (OIT) programs for automated vacuum control systems to meet customer needs
Review sequence of operations and other engineering specification documents for automated vacuum control systems to meet customer needs for general custom applications
Assist in the maintenance of standard electrical designs, programs and documentation for automated vacuum control systems
Write commissioning procedures for electrical installations
Develop and conduct technical training programs for new employees
Support specific projects as the technical representative on the project
Contribute to the continued increased efficiency in use of the design and programming software through an in-depth knowledge of the software
PE/PhD Engineering: Preferred
Ten (10) plus years of experience with vacuum pump experience including design, operation, and installation.
Minimum of five (5) years experience as a Reliability/Maintenance Engineer, Reliability Consulting role or RCM Facilitation, Risk-based Inspection, Equipment Failure/Condition Analysis or equivalent applied experience.
Strong management and supervisory experience: Required.
Working knowledge of digital test instruments (i.E. Multi-meters)
Working knowledge of Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) programming, Operator Interface Terminals and similar automation control systems and components.
Familiarity with analog (4-20 ma) transmitters, and adjustable pressure/vacuum switches.
Working knowledge for Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) and or Adjustment Speed Drive (ASD)
Hands on experience with common hand tools used in the electrical field.
Experience in technical writing, working knowledge reading and interpreting electrical wiring, Piping and Instrumentation Diagram/Drawing (P&ID) and associated electrical control documentation
Proficient in Microsoft Office, prior experience with ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) and CRM (Customer Relationship Management) systems preferred
Ability to utilize software to modify and troubleshoot Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) and program code.
