The Programs Manager shall directly contribute to program efforts in several areas, including customer relations, cost management/avoidance, schedule estimation and tracking, contract performance management, risk management, requirements analysis, and quality assurance activities. Ensures proper performance of tasks necessary to ensure the most efficient and effective execution of the contract. The PM shall utilize expert communication skills needed to direct the skilled technical resources and report on the progress, issues, and problem areas, as well as write and review program and contractual documents.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Responsible for the overall execution of the Littoral Combat Ship (LCS), Joint High Speed Vessel (JHSV), Mine Counter Measures (MCM), and USCG Cutter programs.
Responsible for the delivery of Ship Service Diesel Generators (SSDGs) to new vessels, planned maintenance, and casualty response/recovery.
Assesses warranty claims to include validity determination and effectively communicating and explaining findings to the customer.
Responsible for intracompany communication to ensure a coordinated effort of manpower and supplies availability.
Responsible for being the primary contact for projects to include several efforts but not limited to providing quotations for requested work, recognizing and communicating potential conflicts, reviewing contracts and purchase orders, informing the customer if there are any changes to scope in the project and negotiating the cost difference, and ensuring the project is accurately billed and paid.
Responsible for managing and reporting the status of up to 15 projects simultaneously.
Responsible for incorporating lessons learned from similar past projects and applying them to future work.

Bachelor s Degree in Science Discipline or Engineering (Master s Degree Preferred)
Experienced with ISO Quality Systems, NAVSEA, ABS, USCG, and commercial standards.
Working knowledge of military standards.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, customers.
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Ability to prepare budgets and understand financial reports.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Working knowledge of Project Management software; MS Word, MS Excel, MS Access.
