HUMAN RESOURCES ADMIN SUPPORT SPECIALIST
NORFOLK, VA | Direct-Hire (Perm)
Working knowledge of federal position descriptions, job analysis, strategic human capital planning, employment life cycle, knowledge management.
Compose correspondence; manage spreadsheets and databases, as needed.
Provides support for the development, review, updating or re-description of Civilian Employees position descriptions (PD).
Development of Civilian Position technical papers and standard government forms utilized for initiating and processing position descriptions and other civilian personnel actions.
Interface with select individual employees encumbering the position being reviewed, their supervisors and the applicable Human Resources Office to review or update of the major duties and responsibilities and the knowledge, skills and abilities (KSA s) and other requirements ensuring the formatting and duties are reflected in HR current standards.
Provide position description and strategic human capital planning training to Headquarters staff and subordinate commands managers and supervisors on establishing and updating general schedule pay system position descriptions.
Provide support for development, review, updating, and creation of products that are designed to keep CNSL up to date with manning statistics for all commands.
Development of weekly products that inform client of current Fit/Fill percentages, CNEC shortfalls, and enlisted leadership gaps utilizing manning and manpower databases, to include COGNOS, Billet-Based Distribution (BBD), ARIS, and existing CNSL spreadsheets/trackers.
Pay is 35-45K Depending on Qualifications
An in-depth understanding of Navy manning software and database tools, to include COGNOS, ARIS, DRRS-N, and BBD.
Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, to include Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Must be able to manage workload, complete tasks in adherence with established timelines, and communicate effectively without direct supervision.
Must be able to effectively organize, execute, and follow-up on projects.
High school diploma or equivalent; Associate s degree or higher preferred
3 year's experience with position description writing, evaluation, and classification methods.
Must be a U.S. Citizen
